Default banks boost gauge

I just installed my new Banks boost gauge on my stock 05 cummins 24 valve. I drilled and tapped my intake right before the head, and believe it or not, no boost recorded. At a high rpm, say 2000, maybe 2 lbs. Surely thats not normal for a stock engine. What should I expect, or where should I be getting my reading from?

you should see boost anywhere after the compressor. If you are just seeing 2psi, something is wrong.

Probably kinked you nylon line. Its a common thing when running it through the firewall. When they send you the line, its rolled up and can easily kink if you do not un wind it carefully.

Is that 2k rpm sitting in the driveway, or on the street? You won't build boost untill you have a load on the engine while driving. Might check the compression fittings at each end and make sure you didn't overtighten them and crimp the tubing closed.
