Default Will these Header's fit on MY 99 OBS?

I'm in the process of finally scoring a set of Long Tube Headers on my 99 Hoe.

They are orignally off a 96 Silverado.

Hooker Super Comp's Ceramic Coated.

They wont hook directly to the exhaust but they can be made to work,at least from what ive read

You can buy the Thorleys tri y's brand new on ebay for like 450 so if he wants more than that, pass.

You can buy cheap Hedmans that are the same diameter as the Hookers for $159.I just called Jegs last nite,I think the Hookers like you are talking about were over $500.If you cn get em cheap enough, they can be made to work

I am probably gonna hot rod my 454 soon.I have a 2000 2wd OBS 3500 SRW LWB Chevy truck with the 454/4l80.Only reason I havent touched it has been it has been relible as heck and it tows heavy loads great.Plus its pretty much serves as my trash truck, lol.

My plan is:

1)$159 Hedmans,2 of the $45 3" v band clamps,2 $5 o2 bungs,and a $120 Pacesetter off road Y pipe for the 99-06 NBS GM trucks.Cut the 3 bolt flange off the headers,weld on the v band's and o2 bungs,adapt the y pipe to fit,and buy a cheap 3" single exhaust.Total would be about $380 with shipping plus exhaust system

2)JET under drive pulleys can be had for around $150 from Jegs

3)e fans,I am looking at the ones off a Dodge Intrepis as I have a spare set and they work good on both my Grand Nationals. You can get em in the JY for $50.

4)set of MSD 50# injectors

5)custom dyno tune

With those mods I would think itll be close to 300rwhp and 500ft lb's.

Whatever you decide to do,I would definetly go for a custom dyno tune, even if you have to drive hundreds of miles!

Not for the big block they dont....

I listed the 2 best BBC header choices, the $450 Thorleys or the $159 Hedmans...

Falcon, are you going to have BBP tune out EGR?

I scored some DT Try-y's & will swap out my JBA's shortly, just waiting on some replacemenet gaskets to arrive.

I already have a BB Tune. Justin is hookin me up. Justin is tuning my spare PCM as we speak. Just debating on wether to go catless or not and wipe out my 02 sensors. Will that hurt my MPG? Either that or I keep the cats and get cut outs.

The header's I'm looking at I was told orignal retail value is 800. I'm scoring them for $235. Pacesetter is a NO NO her in NY since they rest.

I'm installing the headers then I plan to have an exhaust shop finish the rest.

There shouldn't be any fitament problems. Clearance....the collectors will be close to the tranny pan, frame, & possibly the crossmember. That's typical with any long tube.

Have you had any luck finding a centrifugal s/c kit yet?

HAHAH you again lol.

Thanks...I sent payment for the Headers. That will be another thread.

No not yet on the Charger kit.
I came across on a whipple kit for $500. I think I just might do it. This time actually install the dame thing since I still never removed the extra pulley on the crankshaft from my first install. I miss boost.
