Default Another 5.3 into an '85 C10

Well , here I go again I have already installed an LS moter in a '79 C10 and started to put an LS motor in a '65 Chavelle. This time I am putting a 5.3 out of a '03 GMC Seirra into my daily driver '85 short bed Chevy C10. Here are some details on the motor....
I started off with a complete 5.3 pull out, disassembled it, left the bottom end alone, freshened it up with a new timing chain and an oil pump. I put a low mile Z06 Cam in it, and a set of ported (by Chris Mitchell) milled, and cut for bigger valve 5.3 heads.

The truck is my daily driver so I am hoping to get it back on the road ASAP!

I am hoping to pull the old 350 this week end so I can get started with the install. Thanks for looking.

when i put the 5.3L in my 82 c10, the A/C comp would hit the frame rail. theres someone on this site that fabs A/C brackets to relocate the compressor to the top. let me try and find a link for it.

all right, i finally got the motor/trans shoved into the truck tonight. for mounting i am using ls to smallblock adaptors with the original clamshell truck mounts. i am reusing the th350 mount. i moved the motor mounts up a 1/4" to compensate for the adaptor plates. looks like im gonna have to move the crossmember forward an inch. i checked the driveshaft and still have plenty of engagement. here are some pics....

well today, i reinstalled the fuel tank, ran new fuel lines, installed new fuelpump and filter, fitted and welded out the exhaust. i plan on tackling the wiring tomorrow.
