does anyone know if the the 99+ seats fit in the c-10's, I really want to put some of those seats in my 68, I think they are alot more comfortable than the bench seat that it has now.. plus it already has the seatbelts on them?
is there any pics of this done?
thanks...

a former co-worker but some in his 80 something truck, he said a little manipulating of the brackets and it was almost a bolt in job.
I have no idea on the older models though, but it wouldn't hurt to check it out, make sure to pay attention to the seat's height from the floor board/ mounting point.

I saw a guy (Baldo) that went to highschool with me getting tuned his by Dan (rgvsierra). He did everything to his, seats, dashboard, steering wheel, engine (5.3), trans (4L60e) etc. Truck looked awesome. Maybe Dan knows more on it since he did the tune on it, I hardly run in to him.

cuerva, I bet that truck looks real nice, I was remember that I saw a pic of a early 80' model truck on here with the nbs dashboard and it really looked good, but that would be a little too much of a project for me!! lol...

From what I've seen, the seats should fit fine. No doubt they would be more comfortable. One complain with them usually is that they take up some of your leg room since they have a thicker back and the added height won;t allow it to scoot back quite as far. Some people also complain that the taller nbs seats look funny sticking up in the back window.
I bought a set of 68 Camaro bucket seats for my 1970 truck. I haven't mounted them in yet. I'll need to raise them up a little and I want to take out a bit of the natural "recline" the seats have in them.

I don't think the gas tank will cause you problems. Picture the nbs seats from a side angle. the back reclines several degrees and is pretty tall. With the seats mounted in the classic truck, scooted as far back as possible, the headrest / upper seat will contact the window before hitting the gas tank.
A tilt steering wheel will help the situation. You can also move the whole steering column forward a couple of inches to give you a bit more room.
I'm 6'4 and have already been looking into this option. Another choice which would work well is finding an 'alternate' seat to use from a smaller vehicle. Maybe buckets from a trailblazer? Make sure the seats don't have side impact airbags, as that would add some thickness and be a useless feature.
