2001 Buell Blast
#1
I've got my 01 Buell Blast for sale, I can email pics to anyone interested looking for $1300 out of it. Might consider a trade for a dirtbike 2000+, 250 2 stroke or 450 4 stroke. Below is the standard blurb about it. Located near Baltimore, pick up is prefered but I could meet someone 75 miles out from Baltimore. If I'm driving it out I'll need some sort of deposit.
Best I know about the bike is that it's a 2001, Red Blast with almost 17k on it. It was traded in to Annapolis HD and I found it on ebay and went down and bought it for a starter bike. When I got it it had drag handlebars and no mirrors which I replaced with the supercross handle bars. I also have a set of stock style handlebars which I bought new. Didn't like the look or feel (I'll include the stock and the drag bars so you can experiment with the feel of the bars). It has a Vance and Hines Exhaust (loud), Pro series intake. I assume that the carb has been jetted accordingly to run with those modifications. Otherwise it would run like crap. I did a oil change when I got it and I put roughly 500 miles on it since then. Mobile One Synthetic oil and filter. I have been running 93 octane fuel in it. I've rode it mostly on the roads in northern MD and up to Hanover PA. I've only had it on 795 once and it did pretty good at highway speed. Gets about 43 - 47 mpg with a 200lb rider on it. It is missing the front wind fairing but it does not affect anything (kinda looks silly with it on too. You can get a new one from Harley Davidson for about $75) The turnsignals work but the original rubber mounts have dry rotted and I have braced them up into thier original position, If I had time I would do a popular modification that mounts them directly to the body. I have it titled and registered in Ohio. Title is in hand ready to be signed over. Only reason I'm selling is that I got another bike and I can't ride two bikes at once. Insurance is really cheap on it, I'm paying $100 a year. I've seen a few other similar Blasts going for 1500 - 2000. Between what I bought it for and the maintenance I'm breaking even
