Nice. I was eyeing the briskets at Randall’s today. Need a good reason to drop $80 on meat though.

$35/lb! 😬

I got mine for $1.99/lb at Tom Thumb. I think they were around $32 and $34 each, so 16 lbs-ish. The fat I trimmed was felt like 4-5 lbs, so I think it's closer to $3.50/lb-ish of actual meat; still not bad.

$4-$5/lb for beef is as much as I'll pay and can afford for beef, LOL. My brother and I have bought steers before and divide it in half. That's the only way we can get a lot of beef for a bit cheaper. ☺️

$35/lb would be from a top-10 rated BBQ joint in Texas. Franklin/Goldees/Snows/Leroy type of establishments.

We get half a cow every year and it's definitely cheaper. This year though I'm going to get less hamburger. I usually end up with so much I'm giving 20-30-40lbs away to make room by the time our next order comes in.

Always do em this weekend to celebrate my nephew’s birthday party. Last year we did 650lbs and a brisket and it was all gone. This year we only did 53lbs. But we only had 8 people here instead of 70+. Doing another boil for Easter.
