Default Replacing wheel bearing assembly

I have a 2005 Suburban 2500 and one of the front wheel bearing assemblies is bad.
I have it ready to pull out but how do you remove the antilock brake sensor?
I removed the allen head bolt but the sensor does not come out.
Does a new sensor/wire come with a new bearing assembly?

I can't speak for sure on the 2500, but I've done 2wd and 4wd 1500 trucks and every hub came with a new sensor. I would imagine the 2500 is no different. Just unplug it and pull the whole thing out. The only unbolting I had to do was the 2 caliper bolts and 3 spindle bolts.

the sensor unclips up near the UCA on the frame rail (atleast on the 1500s) they all come with new sensors because typically the ones in there rust and cause the unit to throw an ABS code.

As stated above the new assembly comes with the bearings pressed into the hub with a new sensor. Just unplug the one that's on your truck and remove the old assembly. You can get a cheap one from the auto parts store or get one from a dealer. It's all up to what you have to spend and how much you care about quality.

I have bought some from napa, advance and factory GM hubs. They have all been the same. Both the advance and napa hubs were just repackaged Timken units. Heck the factory GM ones may have been too.

All were replaced over a year ago(2 factory ones on my truck, 1 on my x-girlfriend's tahoe, and 1 on a buddies 4wd silverad).

I will say the advance auto and napa ones also come with a lifetime warranty which is nice should you get one with a bad batch.

I work at a local Advance and yes our bearings come with a limited lifetime replacement warranty on them. Whether you get the economy NTP or the better National, they both carry a limited lifetime replacement..... receipt not needed so dont worry.

Yeah the Advance is a National and the Napa is an SKF, both brands typically as good as the Timken. However cheap hubs are cheap hubs and they WILL take a **** on you warranty or not. It is really tough to justify expensive hubs especially on our HD's being as how expensive they are but it is worth it every time.
