Default 8.1L turbo suburban track times.

Well i made it out to the track to make a few test passes.. Still a LOT of tuning to do under normal acceleration, and wide open.. Its way fat right now the wide band show 10.0 at WOT.. i need to get that dialed back some to mid 11's Im also hitting reduced power about 4400-4700 rpms in second witch sucks major *****... anyway for first two test passes im damn excited!

run 1

60 foot 2.55
330 ( it coughed) 7.34
1/8 mile 10.7 @ 72.4 mph
Reduced power message
1000 foot 13.6
1/4 miles 16.1 @ 80

Not to bad considering all things, bone stock it ran 18.9 @ 70 in the 1/4 so its faster!

Run 2

60 2.14
330 5.93
1/8 9.1 @ 79
1000 foot 11.8
Reduced power message
1/4 miles 14.5 @ 81.3 mph

I think with the current 9psi and a full 1/4 mile pass it will be in the 13's.... After i get the bugs workded out ill look at more boost... Just not sure what a stock 8.1L pistons will hold.. I know tierod has his on 12 psi. but im not sure where he is getting the reading from. that 9 psi on mine is reading off the intake manifold...

all things aside im stoked... not bad for a 9000lbs suv..

Boat guys say 9psi max. But they pin the throttle for longer periods then we do.
I take my reading off the intake.

Hell yea, then my bitch is getting the **** turned in soem more Im sure there is a more scientific method of how much these hold do to cfm or something like that...

I think as it is now i should be able to get into the 13's on 9 psi.. i cant get a full 1/4 mile pass out of it

here you can the random cough it makes... sounds like a drumb or something.. Its where its getting to much fuel all the sudden when you go wfo..

mine was around 6500 with no spare or jack, and only the front two seats in it on stock wheels/tires.

I ran a high 13 with the blower un restricted but it was flaring on shifts....

then some idiot didn't realize a quarter mile track only runs a quarter mile and put her caddy dts into the sand trap, so that ended that day, since then the truck was only at the track towing a trailer.
