I also welded a baffle in on the underside of the manifold. I dunno how over baffled things really are tho when you consider the big blocks have a windage tray under the intake as well.

Anybody but me notice that when the tone of a thread gets "snarky," no body posts. What a shame. TIMINATOR

Now that you're all done, here's a shot of one of our modified stock manifolds (before final smoothing) ready for a Nick Williams 102mm DBW throttle body. It'll swallow your arm!

YAY!!! An informational post!!! We're saved! Something to read!!! No, seriously,
any before and after total manifold flow #s for the stock VS the modified, VS the big throttle body manifold? We're too swamped here for me to do any extra curricular fun stuff for my truck, so I'm still in the analyzing phase on all of the possible mods to the manifold before I do anything. Thanx fer the pics!!! TIMINATOR

I had considered doing that. Maybe one day when I do a can swap. Just wasn't in the budget right now to buy a throttle body and an X link

The 102mm throttle body isn't really a necessary modification unless you're running aftermarket heads and the race 213 camshaft. The 206 top end cam will also see benefit, but the LS2 style 90mm throttle bodies are generally able to provide more than enough airflow.

Raylar do you know of anyone that can bore the stock throttle body? I talked to one place and they said they couldn't do it because the hole in it is offset and it wouldn't spin in the lathe properly

You can't do all throttle bodies in a lathe for that reason. Unless you make a fixture for it. Some of them we fly cut in our mill. Also porting the 8.1 works well and can give about a 12-13 % gain without boring. Boring will give more than that. We've been porting and boring throttle bodies since 1982. TIMINATOR
