I read this on here somewhere a bit ago, about this helping the idle. I can't find it now. Anyone know about putting a lil' hole in the throttle plate to help idle?

Does the purpose of the hole I the throttle body only aid the modified intake? Or will it be good foe a 270 cam & stock intake?

 

The purpose of the hole is to allow for more running airflow into the engine at idle so the Idle Air Control stepper counts can be lowered back to near stock levels to easier control idle. You need to drill if you cant get the IAC count down to where it needs to be, if you can get it running without the hole and have decent IAC count then don’t drill it. This is non electronic throttle body right?
