After you use a pry bar and pry the block off the trans. Mine was easy because if you read I just got the transmission redone. You can lift the block out. My truck has a 4/6" drop and I didn't have to take off the front end and used a harbor freight 1 ton shop crane.

Drilled and Tapped for the oil feed. Used 1/4" drill bit all the way in then 25/64 bit for the fitting and then 7/16-20 tap.

After cleaning up the top end I saw this little gem. I guess the guy also did some drilling into the throttle body. This makes me think that he never tuned the truck after the cam was install.

Make sure the words "Front" are facing towards the front of the engine or timing cover

Picture of my fitting I had welded on. Will this be ok and above the oil level? I've seen others put there's here.

Oil Pan on. Make sure you follow torquing specs and order for no leaks. I put black RTV on all 4 corners of the block before the oil pan gasket and the pan.

Put lifters into the trays masking sure the roller of the lifters are facing the correct way so they spin on the cam. Then place the tray in while it's holding all four lifters
