I am needing to get my hands on an engine as complete as possible to put into my 01 V6 truck. I'd prefer a 5.3, the newer the better. A 4.8, 5.7, or 6L would be considered if the price is right. GEN IV engines are ok too as I have the necessary electronics for the reluctor wheel/knock sensor change.

Id like a complete engine with intake and accessories but anything will be considered.

not really. I think I figured out what the issue has been with this truck eating transmissions.

Long story short, itll actually cost about the same to go thru the trans and put all the right parts in the trans to keep the V6 as it would cost me just to swap the engine and put a fresh converter in it (which I already have) I have been wanting to do this swap anyway and the wife finally bought off on it. The V6 has issues I'd need to pull to really fix right anyway and there's no way I'm gonna pull a V6 out and put a V6 back in it.

I've got all the swap parts sitting around in one form or another, might as well put them to une before they rot basically

 

I have a 6.0 that I am rebuilding that I would sell. It's in short block form right now but, I have everything but heads, ac compressor and alternator. I have a set of 5.3 heads that could be reassembled. If you you are interested PM me and we can work out a deal.

 

Ben you have a wire harnesss for a V8 ? i may have an extra

 

Where are you located? I have a wrecked truck that has been parted out but still have motor and trans in it. Still starts with the key also. 02 4.8 silverado with 128k miles.

 

David, I've got a harness and PCM from an 02 truck, it's missing the trans connectors but I was planning on splicing mine on. I'll give you a call later on today.
