First of all, Welcome to Alaska!! When did you get here? We've had a hell of alot of rain recently, but the sun came out this afternoon. Hopefully it sticks around.

You really can't go wrong with anything they offer. Glacier tours, or the train ride to Fairbanks(thru Denali Park) are both awesome. Once in a lifetime sightseeing opportunities right there.
If you want to go fishing, get your licenses and come to Wasilla(my town). Fish Creek off Knik Rd is open all week to dipnet fishing. Then you can go a bit farther to Burma Landing and fish off the river bank. Plenty of fish here for you to send home. Fish Creek is about an hour from Anchorage, and about 5 minutes from my house. Send me a pm if you want more info.
Also, we have a Drag Strip near Palmer(45 minutes from Anchorage). There's a test n tune night this Friday. Gates open at 5pm, I'll be there around 6ish. No races Sat or Sun though, but the race cars will be at the Air Show. That's something else you should look into. Just turn on the radio for details, it's being advertised on just about every station.
Enjoy your visit in Alaska!
