Being that it was an OE engine option it should be fine without having to go to the ref as long as you have all the emissions components. On the Smog machine there is an option to select which engine size it has, even if the vin comes up differently. Check with the ref to be sure though. BUT they will tell you that you can't swap the engine from an older car, just tell them it's from an 07. They really won't know the difference.

not a big deal. Use 05-6 ****. Flash the PCM to a 2007 VIN. No problem. Ive done 3 camaros that were 3.8 cars to LSX never had an issue.
