I seem to have my share.
My laptop fried its hard drive this morning so everything was lost that I had on it. All my recent pics and files, email addresses etc etc.
No warning nothing. Working fine and the next day crapola!

Somebody stuck a 20' chiller tank in my parking spot which I managed to back into this morning.......hit it hard too.
With no bumper i thought the worst but noooo, not a scatch at least not one that i could see! So I guess I should be happy

wow trever sorry to hear that..... that sucks..... glad no permanent damage to the baby... as for the hard drive dont worry about it.... look up a data recovery company... call them and they will get most everything back for you... and they usually dont charge very much.

its worth it if you think what you will get back.

first buy a new laptop, or harddrive, and they should be able to copy all the files onto your new drive/laptop, or even onto a dvd/cd

if you have a dvd/cd burner always back up important files.... then if it ever crashes again you dont have to pay the 100 or so the data recovery people are gonna charge you.

sound like we both had fucked days.



update: i got the new job.... the lab test got pushed thru.... i will be starting sometime early monday for sure...

less pay but what do i expect.... hey its a job, and you never know... i may like being a parts guy... we'll see

 

sucks man.I just lost my external harddrive so I'm somewhat in the same boat. I lost 93 movies, about 260 albums and about 30 gigs of ****(don't judge me).

I usually back up to my desktop but I hadn't in a while

I'm sending it in to Sony and their replacing the drive under warrenty.

well more bad news.... the lady that slammed on her brakes in front of me after 8 months decided shes getting an attourney... so now i have to get my attourney to back me up...

i know it is bs but unfortunately anyone can sue you at any time for any reason...

so it looks like i will be selling off the drag car for sure.... plus with me getting married in a year and buying a place... it would be irresponsible of me to try to keep it and put myself in a bad financial situation just to keep it...

so i guess its what I have to do

i hate people like that, i would never sue anyone unless they absolutely deserved it( meaning they disabled me on purpose), and it just pisses me off the kind of things people sue for AND WIN!!

 

i have really good insurance.... but when they tried to settle with her... she said no.... she was gonna get what she deserves... shes a little indian chick.... and the first thing she did after the accident was went to an attourney who sent her to "their" doctor.

so i have no choice.... just to have my attourney look at it... it gonna take alot of money..... theres no way i can keep it. it sucks i love this thing.... but i gotta grow up some day... and i guess some greedy bitch is gonna be my reason....

 

Just hit that bitch again and this time make it at least your while to hire your attorney. I've had that happen to me too here in LA. Lots of people think they are entitled to everyone's money because they are...crap I have no idea what they are thinking. Go out and earn it! I rear ended a POS junker back in HS(insurance discovered tha accident to be a scam) and this fat lady...yes she was FAT got out holding her neck and stomach and straight out started telling me I just made her lose her baby!! How dumb does she think people are?? If they were planning on scaming somone the should of picked a nicer car, I was driving an 83 ford escort that obviously had seem better days. She sued me and my insurance! God I love to HATE LA!
