added a new one yesterday , pick it up next week
desert eagle .44 mag in brushed chrome along with a .50ae chrome barrel and will be picking up clips and ammo for the .50 this week
almost bought a m110 savage in .338 lapua but after looking into ammo prices and feeling of the bolt movement it felt cheap so ill be waiting for the barret in 416 bolt action (probably the m99 and not the m82a1 since it will be well over 10k once i put nice optics on it ).
i want to get into long range shooting badly , i know logic says for entry level get something cheaper (30-06 , 308 , etc) but i love the big dogs .
doing more research on the tactilite ar-15 bolt action upper

Try taking that $ and build a custom rifle. Go to GA Precision, American precision Arms, ...Etc the list goes on and on and spend 3500-4000 and build a real lazer.
When you first get into shooting any type of distance 90% get the "***** envy" thing and think they need the biggest caliber out there. I'm not saying this is you Chase at all. I'm just saying put some real thought into it.
Also if you are just starting don't go buy the best damn optics out there. To be honest a nightforce will be all you could ever need. I believe in quality, but lets be honest function is 99% of the battle the glass clarity is what you are paying for when you spend over 2K on glass.
The next rifle I plan to build will be for the wife and it will be on a older savage action I have in 243 which is a long time favortie of many and has won several national matches.
Oh and about the Savage 338LM.... there is a guy over on another board that strapped on a nightforce and is hitting 1600 easily with it being 100% factory out of the box. Trust me most rifles these days will out shoot the trigger man.
Just thought I would share that with you.

havent posted in a while but saw this. im finally finishing the custom spike's billet upper/lower i bought a while back with a piston upper , 16" and alot of other goodies . finishing it up with a magpul stock .
looking for a trijicon acog scope , anyone have one they want to sell or know where i can find a great deal? havent used one yet so im debating on what crosshiar to go with , not too keen on the chevron for some reason the traditional red cross hair seems perfect.
ill be posting pics of it this weekend if i dont go shooting for ths first time in months .
i also forgot about another smith and wesson ar lower i bought , trying to decide what to do with it .

I love'em. I have used a few well known brands and the SS is in the top of the list. Glass is great and doesn't have a tint to it, its very clear from edge to edge on all the yardage I have used it at. The tracking is spot on. I have went from 100 yards out to 1200 and back and it was dead nuts. that was shooting off a front and back bag to take out shooter error, or as much as I could anyways. I have a 243,7wsm,another300wm in the works and they will wear the SS5x20 or SS3x9. You should swing is SWFA. I stopped in last year while I was in TX hog hunting. They are some good folks and will let you play and look thru just about every scope they have on the shelf.

Cody, you need to hurry up and get Powder River's ultimate match trigger for your XDm. It was a night and day difference and pretty easy to install, just minor sanding for proper fitment. I see you already have the rubber grip, just ordered a set myself. Going to try to go shooting this weekend and give the new trigger a try.
