If you have an XD.. theres a dirt cheap way to fix up your trigger..

Ive got the SPringer precision kit and its ok.. had to do alot of modding and the trigger springs keep breaking.. im on number 4 so far.. bad bad design..

So i put all the factory stuff back in and redoin it.

I went thru the trigger on my POS Sigma yesterday. really lightened it up and smoothed it out. factory draw is said to be over 10# on those things LOL... Its around 6 now I guess. I dont want to go any lighter on it really. Took 10min and cost zero. There were some complaining about trigger reset while shooting with the mod I did but I shot a box thru it yesterday without a hitch. If I have problems I'll put it back stock and look at something else but I like it much better so far. Its got to be the best sub $300 auto pistol out there IMO.

Im talking 10s of thousands of rounds

the spring keeps breaking right there on the back side where it contacts the trigger bar

This time i radiused the trigger bar so it has more contact surface.. Adding a setscrew to the front of the bar to limit overtravel. and Add JB weld to the rear to set up the pre travel.

I have the PRP Ultimate Match Trigger kit on my XDm .40 and it's is amazing. Incredibly smooth, clean break. I didn't expect half of the improvement it provided. And before I installed it, I had never broken a pistol down before, but the videos on youtube made it easy. Get some high grit sandpaper and polish the sear while you're at it, that will give a good (and cheap) improvement in trigger feel.

If you haven't already, read up on XDtalk.com forum. Lots of great info on there; that's where I found out about PRP.

I've been snooping on XDtalk. Gun smithing isn't something I don't think I'm capable of, but I dont have the proper tools for the most part.

IIRC, all I needed for my XDm trigger install was a punch to push the pins out, a flat block and some sandpaper.

And the nice thing is, you aren't modifying the gun itself, so you can swap back in the original trigger and springs with no problem.
