I'm waiting til the Springfield gear up program starts then I'll be picking one up. Everyone seems to be having good luck with academy and they're selling them for a good price too at $529.

I carried a service XD45 for a bit over a year before I got my XDM. Personally I liked it. Accuracy was great as was reliability. Comfort wasn't bad either. There is an aftermarket for them but only a few places carry the parts and it's mostly for the 9mm and 40sw.

What brand did they use?
For a 1911 caspian, les Bar and the top end names are the only way to go for a high round count life.. the cheaper stuff is made with crappy metal that doesnt take abuse well. and a buffer helps them last a short while longer.
