cody is right. im asking about the .45ACP XDs slim model... i have a xd40 ive been shooting for years, and i love it.

the academy local to me is all out of em as well....

Oh crap dude i'm sorry, I thought you meant the XD. Yes a friend of mine owns an XDS and let me shoot it a few times. The recoil is no where near as bad as one might think, but the muzzle flash in low light is pretty stout. For carry, hell it's small enough to really not notice.

The xds is a really good but I prefer my xdm gun academy has them but there on the high side you should try the gun show that's your best but for getting it with accessory for a good price

I plan to carry the XDs for summer and the 45 XDm 3.8 compact during the winter. I'm a string-bean at 6' 165# so my options for comfortable concealed carry are limited. I just love the XD series of pistols, they all shoot very natural for me.

Yeah i planned to go to the gun show the next time its here... cody im in the same boat as you. Im 6'6" and 215 lbs...lol long and thin
