Yes, but that's all I ever do with all my guns. Hopefully I'll never need to actually shoot anyone, but being prepared never hurts. I'd also love to go hog hunting sometime this summer.
Now as far as owning multiple rifles, there's really no need to debate about it, it's a hobby. An expensive one unfortunately, but it is fun building/buying rifles and taking them to the range.

all of my guns/bows have a reason besides range shooting. i used to shoot mens pro archery though. i live less than 5 minutes from one of houstons largest shops/ranges and never go. we do alot of hog/varmet/deer/bird/fish/turtle hunting. my dad has an ar, but never shoots it.
