Bison said that chamber pressure does not increase until you get down to about 1:3 twist and that there was no difference between 1:11 and 1:7. I agree with that. In fact, I said it first - and he confirmed what I had been saying all along.

For stability, twist does matter (of course).

You can pick up a DPMS 308 Sportical from Wal-Mart for $899. DPMS also has the Recon and Oracle for a few bucks more. The only downside to the Sportical is that it has no forward assist, which comes in handy for dirty dry climates. Another good upgrade is to have your bolt carrier group nickel boron coated.

If you have to use the Forward assist with grit in the chamber.. your fixin to be in a pickle.


Our WM around here doesnt have squat
just some expensive SW MP22's

Been shooting a 8" 300 blk for close to a year and its by far the most fun and versatile round/weapon I own. Nuff said

@Nonnieselman. WM has a gun catalog, you just have to ask to see it. They have hundreds of guns in their catalog and any store can order them.

The employees here dont even know what a catalog is.........
they wouldnt even order me 22 bullets.. i was gonna order a pallet of it too.
