most tuners offer a free lifetime of upgrades.. so it's definitely worth getting tuned at this time. it will wake that 5.3 up.

I've seen people get 1 second in the 1/4 mile just from tuning stock, find a local tuner before going mail order, do your research first.

the only tuner I know of locally is a dyno tune, but I thought I read somewhere that you shouldnt dyno tune unless you have any after market drive shaft cause the stock one wont hold up am I wrong? Also If I go mail order should I order a daily driver firm shift, very firm, etc, and how much torque managment should I remove, normal amount, 80% or all of it?

I have the stock driveshaft and have dyno'd dozens of times. If you mail order tune go for the highest octane tune (93)

A live tune by a good tuner will beat a mail order hands down.
