I have a 2000 ECSB 4.8, basically stock except for the k&n CAI, and a dumped 3 inch spintech muffler. Would a tune do me any good? And is it harder on my truck than a stock tune?

as in engine wear, is anything different? and who would be the best to tune my truck?

 

Shouldnt hurt you at all. I've heard wheatley is pretty decent.

 

what will it do to gas mileage? would a 93 tune be best?

 

Tunes make the engine run more efficiently. The only way it can hurt you is if the tuner doesn't know anything about what they are doing.
