Default who is locking their converter@WOT?

I'd like to know who is locking their converter @ WOT, I think I've read some people locking it in 3rd gear and others just at a certain mph?

so post up what yall are doing, if yall are or not locking it and the results and pros/cons about it....

thanks...

I command mine to lock up at 50 mph in second, basically, ASAP!!!! I'm thinking my input shaft don't like me much.
The day I was at the track running 11.4X's (I ran 4-6 passes all with-in .1th of that e.t) I tried locking it in third with no other changes I didn't even flash the PCM (ie tow haul mode) I went .4 SLOWER by locking in mid third. I ran around three more times, after I tryied locking the converter later, Once I started locking sooner, my e.t's went back down. Most will not have the same results, and will do well to lock-up after 3rd....

so what do yall think? I do not lock my converter and I am trapping 105mph, I went during the week to get my tune updated and now I locked it at 95mph in 3rd, how much of a gain do you think I should see? .1-.2 e/t and 1-2mph?

its hell on a converter, but if you have the clutch to do it, go for it... it'll help.

wouldnt you want to do a dyno pull in 3rd with it locked and unlocked and see where your tc curve crossed in the two pulls? then set your converter to lock up at that speed?
