Default where to start...

ok, so on my way home my truck was driving just fine, and as i entered a corner the check engine light came on and started to flash, and i quickly turned it off, and then restarted it to see if it stopped which it did, now obviously i need to pull the codes to find out where the misfire was, im not to familiar with gm's computers, but do they have freeze frame data that was recorded during the event? and what exactly should i look for. my truck only has 55k on the clock, and the only modifications to the engine are an intake, and exhaust, but i dont see those causing that issue.

guess no one knows. their was no history of any codes which seems very odd, almost like nothing happened at all.

You'll just have to catch it when its doin it or data log it that is all I could think of, just borrow a code reader and leave it pluged in then when it happens read the code just don't shut it off

Plugs and/or wires are the typical cause of a misfire, which the flashing of the light indicates. I think 30 seconds is how long it needs to misfire to set a code.
