well i guess what i mean is what is the best bang for the buck on the standard PCM tunes...i'm tossing back & forth between Blackbear & Nelson....do either have any advantages over the other? (besides the $100 price diff)

i have the Blackbear EFI tune "data logging" cost me 300 bucks. mail order is 250 i believe but whats another $50 when you kno it will be getting the most power. Mail order isn't any less power necessarily but just a standard tune for what you have installed.

Have not had a Nelson tune so wouldn't know. I guessing about the same. Someone else may know if they have experimented with them.

If I were dragging my truck, I would want the dyno tune. The dyno tune will give you the most power if it is done right.

If I were using my truck as a daily driver, I would go with the in person tune. I feel the in person tune would be the best for driveability under real world conditions. Ex. Intake air temp might not be as real world sitting stationary on a dyno, or may be effected by a fan.

My problem is, there are very very few tuners in this area, and I was stuck with emailing a tune log to a tuner to receive a tune. Now my truck stalls, won't pass inspection, and goes into REP mode on a regular basis. It has been an absolute nightmare to get my truck to run as bad as it does now, and I am extremely unhappy. I am currently looking for another tuner that uses EFI Live to get it running properly, but the closest one is hours away.

Yeah, I know. The problem is, the tune is only as good as the tuner, and my tuner has been messing with it for months. I have sent him too many logs to count, and he still does not want me getting into the throttle yet, but won't do anything except look at my tune logs and say something isn't right. I didn't buy EFI Live, and a friend was nice enough to let me use it, and I think I have over used my welcome. I am considering buying a V2 of my own, and am considering having Klug do it as he has been very helpful with quick responses.
