Default What computer and network in '07s

Just wondering what computers are in the new models. E40/E38/E67?

Do the new style 1500s with the old trans(60E/70E) still use the old E40 or one of the newer E38/E67 PCMs?

What PCM do the 1500/2500 with the 6speed auto use?

Also, what network are these trucks running on now? CAN?

Just looking at things that might make a 6 speed swap a go/no go.

Thanks

In the post above the guy says his 6.2L/awd transfercase/6L80e swap stuff came with a E38. That would be out of a Sierra Denali or Caddy Escalade.

Something else I found while checking around over on the efilive forum.

http://198.208.187.182/internet/Vehi...&part=12597121

That part number is supposed to be for a E38 ecm. It shows all the '07 GMC Sierra trucks.

Do you have a part number for the E67 ecm, the one on the efilive forum does not work.

Thanks

Thank you for the part number.

Looks like a 6L80E swap might not be TOO hard if the same ECM's are used in some of the 6speed and non 6speed trucks.

It looks like both E67 and E38 ECU's are utilized in the '07 models. I have a '07 Sierra (5.3L, 4L60E, AFM, E85) and it has the E38. The service number on the label is the same as the Escalade/Denali units but some of the other numbers are different. I can post some pictures up tonight when I get home.
According to the schematics the networks are GMLAN High Speed and GMLAN Low Speed.

Here is a picture of a E38 computer I got off the EFILive forum.

Post some pics up when you get them.

BTW, what '07 trucks have you found that have the E67 in them? When I searched on that link above it didn't list any trucks, it could be outdated or something though.
