I've heard of that. But my cats are long gone. I have not romped on it since this started out of fear of catastrophic failure, but it doesn't appear to do it when the converter is unlocked and above 2200 rpm. I'm going to put a wideband in it today on the bank one side and see if it is either going rich or lean when it happens. I'm hoping that will narrow it down to either fuel or spark.
