Default Wait4MeTune??

I just thought I would ask. I got my PCM back from Jesse today. Put it in and the first thing the SES light came on. I assume it is for the crank re-learn. I went to take it for a test drive and the shifts were real slow and soft and when tryin to cruise the truck will surge very badly like the TC is tryin to lock-up but can't. Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong? Other than that there is a very noticeable power gain. Can someone help?

I am not happy with the shifts after the tune, I am putting in a Transgo shift kit, and a trans cooler soon. Then have it re-tuned, I think Jesse is a very busy man, when I got my tune, I told him to delete rear O2's so the SES light would go away, but he did not do it.

I still have rear 02 codes after sending it back a second time to have them shut off.

I tried calling him tonight with no luck. I will try Monday. The slow shifts are not the main problem. It is the steady throttle surging that is worrying me. It also feels like the tranny is slipping when it is surging.

I had a lot of surging with my tJesse tune also. Turns out it was my new torque converter clutch locking. At about 40mph, the clutch would lock resulting in a surge. It would lock and unlock a lot around this speed. I had him disable TCC lockup under 50mph and the problem went away.

Don't know if you are experiencing the same. I never tried the tune on my stock trans and TC so I don't know if more related to tune or TC.

maybe thts what wrong with my tune... I also had similar problems with surge... it feels like its slipping and has a hard time downshifting... its def. the tune and not the tranny... i just really need to get it on a dyno and see if i can diagnose some stuff

No offense guys...but you get what you pay for. My tune from NelsonPerformance never gave me a problem! Perfect from the time I installed it.

I agree. The first tune I got from Jessie was great. He took care of everything I needed, then some. Since then all my re-tunes have seemed to get worse and worse. I just got my truck back, and I'm experiencing bad cam surge when stopping, and at startup, I have the TCC lockup problem right around 40mph, the shifts shuold be firmer IMO, and I was checking the fans yesterday, and overheated teh motor because they didn't come on. Granted I didnt have the PCM pin, just had the wire stripped a little and shoved in there so that could have been it. When I get teh pin installed if the fans dont work I will be pissed. My truck wont run on the stock tune, so Im suposed to be without a truck for a week or so? Um no. I'll be saving for a Futral, or Nelson tune.

On a good note though. Jessie hit the nail on teh head the first tune, and I know its got to be hard to tune a 6l with a custom cam through the mail, I think he's just too busy, and in a little over his head. I also think the re-tunes should be taken care of first. he can't have that many, and were in a bind waiting for our **** back. Last time it took over a week to get my tune back
