dont know what to say, I have had no problems with my Jesse tune??? and I know alot of people that I recommended to him and nobody has had an issue either besides the crank relearn.... but I will be getting a re-tune here shortly after the cam swap so I'll see what happens there???

Im not knocking Jessie. I got a custom tune for $150, and got to keep my stock PCM, and he offered me $75 for the core. The first tune I got from him I had a little bitty cam, and it was awesome. I put it in a buddys truck and he went 15,3 at 98mph cause of traction issues in a 14.5 sec truck. I was very impressed, and still recomend him. But for a big cammed truck with a lot of mods, I think its better not to be done throught the mail. Every converter is a little different, as well as cams. He can get you close, but you have to be there to get it right.

I love my tune, my truck runs great, there are just a few minor fine tuning issues I need to get worked out, and if I'm gonna pay a tuner to do that, I may as well get it tuned on the road or dyno.

I do find his customer service to not be AS good as it was, but I suspect he's swamped because of all the good reviews. I didn't want to mislead anyone, or turn anyone away from him, just saying if you have a heavily modded vehicle, its best to have a tune done in person. If I lived close, I'd go to Jessie, but I dont, so FMS or Nelson it is for me

ya i wish some of the dyno guys would respond to my phone calls here around GA... but all my local go to guys are either busy or on vacation i guess. I really really need a true dyno tune... and actually his tune is great for a mail order tune, I just need to get on a dyno, everyone has their own opinion on mail order tuners tho... so to each his own, im sure i would be praising nelson up and down if i had chosen to go with him.

The only problem with nelson is the price $400 is way to much! He is basicly charging you for dyno time when your 1000 miles away. You are right though the best way to tune is on the dyno making changes. I have a mail order for my stock truck and it does what i wanted. Let's me go over 100 and I can burn the tires of from a standstill. Thats it. Well worth it for jesse's price too but if your heavily modded what do you expect thru the mail.

I talked to him today. He talked me through some diagnostics and we decided that I must have got a bad PCM. I will have to say so far I am extremely pleased with his customer service.

Uhhhh....I don't really like "musta' got a bad PCM".......because....PCM's just don't "go bad"....they're not fruit. The only way GMC will let me warranty a PCM, is if is has physical failure....like...your battery leaked onto it.

PCM, 99% of the time will only have a sofware failure........so I would question the program.....not the PCM.

Dude he told me the same thing when mine locked up after it wouldnt do a crank relearn with anything. I tried the Snap on, Tech 1 and Tech 2 it locked up with the Tech 2. I sent it back to him and have sent it back 3 times so far and Im still not happy. I like the shift points but it feels like its running out of fuel on the top end. All he was supposed to do was turn on the Efans the last time but for some reason it dosent run the same anymore.

I am about to drive down to San Antonio and let Alan put his hands on it after hunting season.(Unless one of you guys from down by San Antonio wants to take me hunting down there. ) I would do it local but with free upgrades for life its hard to pay about the same about and have to pay for upgrades.
