wait4me mail order for cammed 6.0?
#1
Just put in my order to Jesse at wait4me. I am swapping out my 4.8 and having the 6.0 LQ9 with a comp cam 220/226 556/570 114+4 dropped in about two weeks. Do you think it was a good idea to use a mail order tune to get the 6.0 engine up and running. I didnt want to fork out the 400+ for a nelson mail order and plan on ordering and learning HP tuners shortly after the install anyways. Anyone else use wait4me for a cammed application?
-thanks in advance.

Good enough if you dont mind surging when you stop, and a few other issues. I was satisfied with Jesse's tune and will not bash him, but I did have some issues. Even he told me though its hard to mail tune a cam.

Thanks for all of the replies
, I can understand that there are a lot of variables that just cant be tuned on target with out having it done in person. Even if he had someone else he did in person with the exact same setup, and tried to use the tune for mine I dont think it would be perfect because there are no two engines that are gonna responde the same. I just hope it runs good enough until I can learn HP and do some logging and then maybe try to tune it myself or send him a log so he can see what is going on after it is up and running.

It should, thats pretty mutch what I did. Just make sure he takes out (or leaves in) the security parameters that HPtuners looks for. When I tried to tune the PCM I got from him, I couldnt access it from HPt
