the mass air is bad on my truck we shut it off yesterday. the timing is at 22 deg. at 2500rpm if that helps, we turned off and unpluged the knock sensors cause we are getting false knock i hope, and the truck was still pulling timing after the knock sensors were unpluged so he changed the timing to only go down to 22. this tuning stuff really confuses me with the L-trim,timing, ect. so sorry if what i just wrote makes no sense.

also my trucks a 2000 i already got rid of the 2000 computer for the 2002 computer.

Sounds like your tuner is using some of the old school hacks to try and make it work. There is a problem somewhere that needs to be addressed first instead of masking the symptoms.

go ahead and put your tuners name out there. i have an assumption of who your tuner might be based on you location. if im right, he is one of the best in the business.

Something is definitely wrong. You should be able to wrinkle pavement. If I read your post correctly, then your maf is bad? If so, that needs to be corrected asap. Hows your fuel pressure? Also, I would replace the knock sensors if they are reading false knock. Un-plugging them is probably what is causing the computer to pull timing, because it cant even sense if the knock sensor is there. What octane fuel are you using? Also, is the tuner getting the truck? Or are you just sending him a computer?

running 93, the tuner drives the truck around with me for about an hour each time trying to fix it all, and i plan to replace all the sensors that are bad(maf, knock).idk what the fuel pressure is i need to put a gauge on it. the fuel pumps only about 2 years old with a new fuel filter.

I would definitely start with replacing the MAF.
