Unknown timing pull?
#11
Unless you have changed your IAT spark retard tables, 104 won't do anything. Mine doesn't start to pull timing due to IAT until something like 190*F.
I remember reading something about the PCM dropping back to the base timing tables instead of the High/Low octane tables under certain circumstances, but I can't remember why. Sorry....I have reached the end of my limited knowledge. I am planning on doing a full dyno tune sometime in the next few weeks to get all my part throttle VE tables set correctly, maybe I will know more by then....

I noticed a difference in the max tq timing tables
between a 6.0 file and my 5.3 file
mine was doing the same as yours after the engine swap
so me and chris bumped it up and the problem disappeared
Theres not much info on that table other than leave it alone
Actually I was a little scared to touch it but couldnt stand not knowing where that 2-3* was at
Im not exactly sure what the table does but
it looks like thats about the only thing you havent looked at
I got a stock silverado SS bin if you'd like to check it out

Its Knock Learn. (Thanks EC from HPT Forum) I'm seeing some KR and pulling in the Knock Learn table. As I understand now with Knock learn. HO Advance table commands 20*. LO table for the same cell is at say 16*. 4* difference and multiplied by the KL factor of say .6. It will pull 2.4* timing from 20* and now your base timing for that level is 17.6* until KL decays.
It's also a PID that can be logged with HPT. I now scan it also.
It wasn't in that screen shot but my IAT's are also pulling timing. See it in other spots of the log. The stock radix tune starts pulling timing at 125 degrees of IAT.
