Default tuning question

My Tahoe was tuned after I had the work done on my transmission. I have no idea what was "tuned" nor did they feel the need to explain what changes had been made.

Is it possible for them to e-mail me a before and after file of the tune?
If this is possible, would anyone be willing to help me out in reading it and explaining the changes that have been done?

Thanks

I apologize for my ignorance and I hope this doesn't sound stupid but, I have no idea what you mean.

How am I able to post it up?
Where am I able to get it from?

Thanks

It is possible if the shop you used is willing to cooperate and email it to you.

Now depending on what was used will dictate if we can see and explain it to you. EFI LIVE and HP Tuners are the most common tuning suites how ever there are other suites out there that can make these changes.

Ok, cool. I would think that he would be ok with it, then again, I'm not too sure. I'm willing to give it a try.
He used HP Tuners.

How would I go about asking him? Is there a specific term I should use?

Thank you, I appreciate the info.

Ask him to email your tune file. He either will or he won't. Some tuners are more secretive then others. Or try the direct approach and ask him what changes were made.

Just ask him what he did. Some guys will not give away their tunes so that someone doesn't copy their work. Who is the tuner? Is he a respected tuner? More importantly are you happy with the way it is performing? If you didnt have any suggestions of the areas you wanted changed he more than likely just did a basic tune to it.

I'll have to call him Monday to ask him. Seeing that he didn't respond to my e-mails, I'm not feeling too confident in the end result.
The shop is a well known shop in my area, the tuner seems to have a good reputation as well. He has the personality of my left nut but, people like him.
Am I happy, no. I didn't want anything changed. I had a built trans and billet stall in my previous Tahoe with no tune and it ran like a champ, zero issues for 5 years.
What ever they did has effected the way my Tahoe drives at certain speeds. Check "tranny issue, need some help" for all the details.
I suspect it is a basic tune but, no details were explained or any kind of info was shared as to what was done.
