99's are known for false knock. When you have it nothing will help, not even good fuel. What I have done on a few is in the "load vs kr" and "rpm vs kr" tables reduced them from 8 to 2 (or 0) allowable at lite load and upper rpm's. You just need to keep good fuel in it and listen closely for any real knock. This is one of the reason's why so many have switched to 2002 pcm's.

Yea I think that's why a lot of people switched to 02 pcm's. I run the 93 fuel. I'm also still on stock 24lb injectors which are maxed out reading 100% duty cycle. I wonder if the engine not getting enough fuel could cause the KR? Maybe I could slap some 36 or 42lb'ers on it and help that problem..

Yes ... a lean condition will cause KR.

You can spot the running out of fuel by the o2's dropping off in the higher rpms and coming back up after a shift on a WOT run.

If you really want to know whats going on you will have to check it with a widebando2 to make sure it's not leaning out. If you have not turned COT off yet I doubt it's leaning out. Then put 100 octane in to prove it's false knock, and then turn kr off in the tables I mentioned.

That's the way false KR comes on. Have you turned your COT off yet?
