Default Tuning Issues

Hey guys I Finished my 6.0 swap kind of ditched the build thread because things were taking so long to get done. Anyways I had a local guy tune it and it just doesn't seem right. It has trouble starting and stalls frequently. the low end seems pretty flat until about 3k rpm. It has a tsp 224r cam and corvette stall. What im wondering is if I should just have black bear tune it and also what do I need to do to help out on the low end? I plan on buying a bigger stall to help with that but what do you think?

First things first, get that tune figured out. Did he tune it with a WB? Get that straight before going beat on it. Bigger cam + big tires + stock gearing = shitty bottom end. Throw some gears and more stall on it that'll wake it up.

Yeah he used a wb. I think I might just have black bear tune it because all I've heard is good things about them. Any suggestions on what stall? 3-3.2k? Thanks

Ok I agree. My main goal is just something that is fun to drive. I don't plan on doing much more than getting the tune fixed, & higher stall. Maybe some better gears & a small shot down the road.

Did you give your local guy another shot to fix the startup and idle problems? Or is he out of options?

I talked to him about it and he said he would work on it more in the next week or so. I just dont like having to wait a week at a time to get it tuned.

If he gave it back to you in that condition, and called it done, I would look for a new tuner... sounds to me like you would be wasting your time going back to him. Any tuner worth his salt would not give it back to you in that condition... just my 2 cents.
