Default tuning with HP tuners

I will ask this question but more than less will just look over it and not say anything. I am new to hp tuners. A couple weeks in. Looking for steps and ways and the order of ways i need to tune items. For instance right now i am looking to tune just stock cars. Testing on my own. To increase efficiency, fuel mileage, performance and similar items.

I would love to go to school for this but they are so far away and cost so dang much. I know i will figure it all out in time just looking for a little bump in help.

Thanks
