What tuning software are you using? If EFI Live then use COS3 and ditch the MAF...

No...he wants the current motor to let go so he can build a race combo consisting of a LSX and all the goodies. This is on a 100k mile 5.3. But I know what you mean and it is nothing that I haven't told him.

HPTuners is what is being used.

I'm sure he's using the Procharger FMU to raise the fuel pressure with boost guys, even though It's not the best way to do it, he's still getting some extra fuel, but i would want a little more the lower 12's for AFR at 10 psi.

Anyway, I think that it is close enough. He actually wants the motor to let go so he can build a real race combo. ________

They will appreciate that at the shootout

The AFR isn't bad off. And yes he is using the FMU.

I'm sure they will know. I mean its not like the guy is tuning the truck to blow. We are trying to get it as close as we can. He didn't say that he wanted it to let go at the shooutout. I mean hell, if we wanted to tune the thing to blow up...you think I would be here asking questions about how to get the tune close? Why even post this statement? Are you trying to make us look like a douche or something? At least we are trying to get the truck right and get it there. There are tons of guys last year that whined about not having a truck class and now they actually have one added this year and half the guys that were whining haven't even stepped to say that they are coming. I'm sure the shootout will appreciate any trucks they can get down there to make a showing.

What AFR do you think we should shoot for? I am at work now but he is home tuning on it today.

11.8 should be great for pushing the limits. There is probably no extra power at 12.0 and the risks at 9+psi is to great.

Hey...he wants to "push the limit". 11.8 is bingo, but if there is just the tiniest hiccup too many times.....I run no leaner than 11.6 without meth if it means anything.

Ahhh it'll be alright!

yeah ,we are going to make it a little rich. I mean just because I say that he wants it to let go...doesn't mean that he wants it tuned to blow. That is just a figure of speech guys. He is just ready to build a nice motor but doesn't want to until he gets all of this one. I didn't mean for that to be taken so literally...
