Tuning after a pro tune
#51
The logs worked but not the tune files for me.
One thing I just noticed just by watching is you must have your PE enable settings pretty low or in a way trigger happy. It's dipping into enrichment at like less than 30% throttle when you aren't even under a heavy load, pretty much just normal on and off the throttle movements it's going rich. I bet that is sucking away alot of your fuel mileage.

Maybe because they are in version 3.2? They worked for me.
And yes - PE set too low from the log labeled Final, its a little better in the Drive to work tune. I did that to get away from the lean tip in off idle and the studder at 2400-3000rpm

I haven't looked at your tune files, but I will mention being organized is half the battle with tuning. Having multiple tune files all going at the same time is a configuration management nightmare. Make one set of changes, test, observe scanner, make changes, test again, repeat as needed.

I just click the "attachment", then click the top browse from "upload from your computer", documents > HP Tuners > tune/logs > pick you vehicle and then click the tune file. Then click the upload button next to the last "browse" icon.
That's all I do and it works, seems the files are too small. I tried a 2001 6.0 file and it's 400-500kb's on the 3.2 version.

I set up the three tunes to show how I was tuning for each VE and MAF and the resultant tune I came up with.
I don't operate between the three while tuning. I wanted to show what parameters I was using during each tuning event to see if I was performing the task correctly. I am using hpacademy tuning methodology and it differs from some other methodologies I've seen so I wanted to be sure I was setting up the tune correctly. Plus the classes I've taken appear to be on a later platform with VVE tuning rather than regular VE tuning.
If I have problems tuning with all my new parts - I may just switch to SD and ditch the maf all together. Beyond frustrated, but at least I can get my WOT PE enrichment exactly as commanded and I call that a WIN in my book.
