Default Tune question

I have had the truck for about 2 months, runs great all the time.Today I noticed when I sat idling with the truck in tow haul the idle was a little erratic, not as smooth as normal (which isnt smooth at all with the cam).I could just tell it was different.I know all work on the truck was done at Thunder Racing including the tune.Everything else is in my sig.Is this normal and maybe I'm paranoid?

Sometimes the ac cycling can cause idle to change alittle.. if it was me i would have the tune checked or just get it retuned by a reputable vendor.

I am very new to this game so dont take my word as gospel, but when I got my Nelson tune they told me that the tow/haul button could only change shift settings and torque management. So to me, how could changing either of those even affect idle at all?

It may be nothing but me being paranoid. It starts great and always idles fine right after.Bought gas from a place I normally do not, may have something to do with it.Seems to hold the gears alot longer in tow/haul but cant tell a difference otherwise.I am used to diesels with manual transmissions and this thing is nothing like them.Last truck like this I had only had a tune and gears.I cant really compare it to this one.Just have no experience with modified ls engines and am ready to learn.

You came to the right place, I've learned more on here in 2 months about these engines than I ever thought I would want to know.

The tune may have set up the tow/haul button to operate a certain way for a certain situation, or they could have left it as stock. For example, I got the haul/*** mode for my button. It removes torque management completely and also moves the shift points to higher RPM, allowing me to better effectively "haul"!
