Exclamation Truck stalls after CAI install... HELP!

I did a K&N CAI install on 04 GMC 5.3, after completing the install we reved the motor up just to hear the differance and it stalled. It only does it if it goes higher then 4K in the revs. Any ideas what it could be? I have never heard or seen this happen before. We doubled checked the MAF.

I'd venture to say its abuse management or something similar within the tune. I don't have EFIlive on pc I'm on but i'm willing to bet its a non issue.

Have you tried to rev higher than 4k prior to the install?

+1, it'll cut off after 4K RPM's in nuetral or park. How does it go in gear? Do you get a reduced engine power? If so, there are some other parameters that need adjusting but I highly doubt you'd need to on a stock truck.

I'll have to get him to give it a try it in nuetral.

No SES light. It's fine to drive no problems, don't know about getting on it.

Stock tune as of now.

I never had problems with it. Then again, I don't use my MAF. I've always run speed density. IM me tonight on messenger and I'll see if I can help you out to make sure you have everything hooked up right. Have the guy drive it though and **** can it when in gear first to make sure he's not just bouncing on the rev limiter in park.
