yep, since its a 01 it uses different sensors than the 03+ DBW TB.

You're running an electronic throttle body on an 01? Why not cable?

It came with dbw. Too much if a pita to swap it out.

Like he said, the C3 and Sierra Denali were both DBW, even in the early models.

Interesting info on the different tb for those years..That said why did you go cheap and not get the xlink???

The x-link is for the 03+ tac module. Wont work with the 01-02

While it is somewhat commonly known that earlier model GM trucks and SUV’s with traction control used ETC, the ’01 C³ and ’02 Sierra Denali did not have traction control, but still used ETC. The ‘01/’02 model 78mm throttle bodies were more like the old LS1 Vette units with the exception of the electric motor being on the opposite side of the throttle blade. The early 8.1L trucks also used this type.

And as Andy said, the x-link is not used with these earlier style systems. People have been using the same style harness adapter that Andy is using for years when converting to the LS2 style throttle body on the earlier Corvette’s and CTS-V’s.
