Default truck shuts down randomly

Every now and then I'll be at a red light, I give it a little throttle and let off, then the truck idles real low and it shuts down. same thing happens when I pull into my driveway. It has an incline, I have to rev it to about 2300 to get it to creep up the driveway and as soon as I let off it shuts down. Any ideas why its doing this?

First thing that comes to mind is checking to make sure your MAF is connected well and isn't full of crud... mine acted similar without the maf plugged in once

I'm confident it's his battery and/or battery connections. From what I saw he's got a lot of aftermarket wiring in the truck, and also said there were issues with the battery connections in the past. They didn't look like the factory connections but I'm not sure how Optima's are set up to connect. I've had this problem myself several years ago with a bad battery. The vehicle will drive fine, but once you idle it will drop down and die. A new battery fully cured the issue. I also seem to recall reading that Optima batteries aren't what they use to be quality wise. As far as fuel goes, pressure is holding steady via in-cab gauge. Tune wise, there isn't much I can think of to cause this given the rather stock parameters. We've got about 2 hours of live street tuning in it and the fueling is pretty much dead on via the LC-1 wideband. So I'd wager on the battery or connection, but it certainly could be something else.....we will see.

Did it just start doing this? Changed any parts recently?

A bad battery isnt going to cause you to rev the engine to 2300 to start moving..If there was a bad connection when it dies it generally wont start till one messes with it again it it seems like it fires rite back up rite? Does it crank slow after it dies???

The rev to 2300 is because of the loose stall. Fuel filter/regulator was installed in April. The battery connections are what they sell for the optamas. Battery was installed last march. Going to try the big 3 upgrade to try and get a more consistent voltage.

Then I kinda doubt its your battery.. No indication before it happens, dimmed lights, batt light flash, gauge change voltage????

Also check the cam sensor connection...
