Default trouble regaining stock programming

Programmer problems

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a hypertech programmer and a 2001 2500HD 6.0, ran the programmer with no problem since 2003. Recently had the front and rear knock sensors as well as the wiring harness replaced and computer keeps throwing codes PO327 and PO332. Dealer said that I might need to upload some updates to make the computer pick up the new sensors. I tried to change the hypertech program back to stock settings and kept getting an upload failure or connection lost code from programmer. Also seems as though the stock security system shuts down the truck whenever the programmer attempts to reprogram it. Step 2 pulled the SEO IGN & ACCY fuses, same problem. Then pulled additional SEO fuses in the front engine compartment and still communications failure. Seems that the stock security system is still active with the above fuses out. So if anyone has any ideas let me know or should I just go to the dealer and get the computer completely reflashed?? Thanks

It may be too late to save your Hypertech tune. You may want to find someone near you with HP Tuners or EFI Live to try to read it. Then have it reflashed, and compare files to try to get your tune back.

With the handhelds, its always best to go back to stock before letting the dealer do any fingerpokin or mittengrabbin.

the dealer might have updated the program without you knowing it, and that might be why the hypertech is acting goofy when it sees the different OS number...thats the only thing I can think of besides a freak class 2 error ie. aftermarket radio, onstar etc. but the older trucks usually dont have those problems

Weak battery on the truck will give you issues. I plugged up a battery charger once while I was loading and it fixed it.

I think that a weak battery started the problem, I replaced it and it still won't reprogram.
