Can you move the shift pressure tables lower than stock? I have a level 5 trans and the 1-2 shift is pretty harsh and it destroyed my Trutrac. The shift tables are stock ATM. Now I have to baby the truck until I can fix it. Its just my DD with NO racing but I pull a trailer 99% of the time. I'm on 37s with 4.88s. Any other ways to soften up the 1-2 shift? My shift times are zeroed out. Maybe add some time?

 

You have HPT? Why are your shift times Zero'd? Set them at like .250 and see what you think.

 

Ive read here, thats what you're supposed to do when you have a level 5 trans and yank stall. Yes, I have HPT.

 

Bump them up to .250 and see how it feels. Mines fully built and anything lower then .250 seemed really harsh.

 

set pressure at stock, set shift time to .150 or so. Look at your pressure multipliers and make sure they aren't adding a ton of pressure down low.

 

Cool. Imma dig into my tune now. Even at light throttle the 1-2 will kick you in the kidneys.

 

Yea, Im gonna try that. I've always read to zero them out and let the shift kit do the work.

The pressure modifiers are stock (nothing too radical) and my fluid never gets above 160 (thanks to the Tru-cool 40k).

 

My truck is an 04 and I have a level 5 tranny and my setting are set to stock. But stock on my truck is not 0 shift time. Check out my tables for shift time. All my pressure tables and modifier tables are how the factory had them.
