Default Torque Scan Tool for Android

After getting tired of borrowing friends' scan tools, I decided to invest in my own. By far the best deal I could find is the Torque scan tool app for Android for $5. It connects to the ODB port via a BlueTooth transmitter that I got on eBay for $16.50. Total spent = $21.50.

This app is incredible. It allows you to get and clear trouble codes, monitor every single piece of data the vehicle will let you, it can calculate your horsepower and torque (not sure how accurate it is), calculate your fuel economy, monitor the vehicles systems like catalyst, AIR, EGR, EVAP, and see when they perform their self-checks. It will also record 0-60, 0-100, 1/8 and 1/4 mile times, etc... It can also use your phone's GPS and Google Earth to track your trip and record ANY data you want during the trip. So I could record gas mileage, O2 sensor voltage, whatever and plot it on a map. You can upload your log files onto the computer.

You can custom setup a dashboard with gauges, graphs, bar charts, digital displays, etc to read off real-time engine data. The response time is amazing, just as fast as AeroForce gauges.

There is also a free lite version of the app that has most of the features.

If you're in the market for a scan tool, it's hard to beat this!

Sounds like a neat app but you are just limited to what the stock ECU will tell you right? There is no way to read boost on a vehicle that did not normally have it. Same with if I added a wideband?

Would love to have a one stop shop for all my stuff in the future but sounds like I will have to go with Aeroforce to get it all in one gauge. Shame to, would be cool to have it all displayed on my tablet mounted in my truck.

Right, it will only read what is available at the OBDII port. Manifold pressure is available, but I don't know if it works in boost, maybe if you have a 2 bar map sensor? Definitely no wideband, that's a standalone device. It will do O2 voltages though.
