Default Torque Management 08 GMC Sierra

I just got my new procharger installed today. It was dyno tuned as well using an hp tuner. I was told that they would be able to reduce or remove the torque management feature. However, when I picked the truck up I was told that they could not reduce the torque management feature and when they turned it off completely, that it caused problems with the timing that could not be overcome.

I know very little about the tuning process but here is what I do know. I just dropped 6 grand on a supercharger and custom tune and still can't do a burn out. The truck is making 400 rwhp and 400 rwtq so I should be able to smoke the tires with ease. Plus the truck is still sluggish in the low rpm band and slow off the line because the TM feature is limiting the power to the rear wheels. This really sucks!

I am running a stock converter and I know that is part of the problem but has anyone else run into this problem. Is there anyway to efficiently turn off the TM feature. Please Help!

I think they just did not want to take the time to correct the tune.

In their defense, when I bought my predator tuner it did not have the option to reduce the torque management either even though they advertise that feature. When I called they said that was an issue that their engineers were still working on. Still it sounds crazy to me.

You got to remember too that a Procharger is a centrifugal blower and really isn't going to add any power down low. Gains don't really start to come on till 3000+. That's a brand new tranny from GM, (6 speed auto right?) there's gona be some tuning issues with them for a while till they get them figured out.

I understand this concept, I have since I started looking into superchargers. However, this is the reason why I need the TM off b/c I need all the low end torque I can get to get me rolling before the centri kicks in.

No the 08's have the four speed GM has been using for ever. I do hope that its just a bug that needs to be worked out. That is why I was asking you guys if you had heard of a situation like this before. At least if I am not the only one that means my tuner didn't rip me off.

What exactly is the timing doing?

I have dealt with that issue on my '07. It's not all TqMgmnt but, many different things in the computer, at least in the 6.0L/6L90E setups.

Do you have anyone near you with some tuning/scanning software. That would help a ton to diagnose it.

I really don't know what the timing was doing. Also, don't have anyone near by. I do have a diablosport predator that I think I can log what the engine is doing. But I have no way of turning off the TM and logging it for you guys, sorry. How did you resolve the issue?
