It was running fine with the 5.3, its been doing this ever since I put the torque converter in. It was at the trans shop when I had an old motor in it and they checked it over put a new pump, gasket and fluid. I pretty sure its the converter and its just needs to be tuned for it. I checked the fluid and its good.

Anybody, there's got to be more to tuning for a 3000 stall torque converter?

try this now. If it doesn't work then i will start looking at something mechanical like your tcc lockup switch, I made these settings with some spreadsheet help.

double post, but lol i just read whenever you accelerate your engine just revs? lol that is NOT a converter problem, that sounds like your transmission is slipping bad. even if you had a stock tune and you slap on a 3000 stall, you wouldnt have those problems.

Thanks I appreciate you going through all that trouble. I tryed the last tune and it didn't work so am going to go ahead and replace the sensor you metioned and hopefully that works.
