Default Timing tables for spooling on the footbrake.

Been trying to get some boost of my foot brake here lately. I was messing around the other day and found that if I do the syty shuffle and command 0° of timing in the scanner I can built about 4lbs on the foot brake. Where as with 20-25ish degrees of timing, I can build absolutely zero boost.

Anyone incorporated this into their regular timing tables?

What is the AFR between those timing differences?

Mmmm. I dont think its timing, its a richer afr. More fuel=high egt=more spool

Never even thought to look at the AFR. I can tell you that before I could never get it below 12.8afr. That's what my power enrichment was set at. I was never able to tip into boost enrichment.

timing and AFR go along with eachother for spooling

set PE to 1.0 and set BE to whatever you need it to be at certain boost levels

dial in AFR so its ramped

Did a log today and the AFR error was within 5%. I think it is because the timing drops enough power to fall into my boost enrichment threshold, which the commands a richer AFR. So basically, richer AFR. Y'all were right.

Screaming l, do you care to post a screenshot of how you have your setup? I always heard you want it lean ramping to richer.
