What octane fuel are you tuned for? If less than 93, you could try putting a higher octane in and see if it goes away. If it does, yes you will need a retune or use a higher grade of fuel.

hmmm.... ok, check this out. About 6 months ago or so, i had a local POS shop install my converter. They lowered the tranny, but had to unbolt the headers and cut my Y pipe. Guy did messy *** work, cut one of my tranny lines.
When i brought it back home, it was misfiring, So i started pulling out my cables and found a spark plug completely shattered. Changed that plug and 1 more that the ceramic looked cracked. But i didnt check the rest. Could a cracked spark plug cause the pinging im hearing?

It could, but if the plug was cracked, wasn't sparking you would have a ses light on.. easy way to find out is to go check all them then...
